Supporting business consultants is just a slogan
The head of the Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce said that the current business advisor is no less than a political ambassador.
According to the Iran International Stone Fair, Yahya Al-Ishaq, Chairman of the Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce, acknowledging the special position of trade advisers in the country's economic development, said: Economic trade is between countries.
The head of the Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce said that trade relations between countries are closely related to the development of trade and national security of societies. .
Pointing out that Iran is considered a regional hub due to its special geographical location, he said: "Iran's neighborhood with fifteen neighboring countries has created a trade capacity of one thousand billion dollars per year, which can be based on this type of imported and exported goods." Between two hundred and fifty to three hundred billion dollars, we will benefit from this capacity.
Al-Ishaq said: "Iran's economy is facing many challenges, on the one hand, and on the other hand, it is involved with the corona virus and its economic consequences, and at the same time, it is supposed to follow the leap of production and export. We do not have the opportunity to open the country's breathing space and commercial breath.
The former Minister of Commerce believes that the first requirement in the development of exports and import management is the authority and ability of officials and managers, especially business consultants, to pave the way and remove obstacles.
He described the Iraqi market as a $ 20 billion market for Iran's economy, noting that "last year we used about $ 11 billion in this $ 20 billion market, which, of course, was the basis for this great business consultant."
Al-Ishaq called the disregard for the role of trade advisers in the development of the economy and trade relations a kind of opportunism and said: "Out of two hundred countries in the world, more than 100 countries can have trade relations with Iran, but we have trade advisors only in six countries."
Referring to the essential characteristics of business advisors, the head of the Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce stressed: "A business consultant is a manifestation of the Ministry of Commerce, so it must have the necessary power and ability and economic knowledge to establish trade between the two countries." It's not normal.
"We are only talking about the special status and importance of business advisors, and in practice we are not even willing to pay for them," he said. "We have to accept that the influence of business advisers is no less than that of political ambassadors." The economy between the two countries should have at least a second place in the embassy (business advisor) and not a marginal position.
Criticizing that Iranian officials are on the sidelines of the economic decision-making system, Al-Ishaq stressed: "We must change our approach to the issue of domestic and foreign trade in order to solve economic problems and realize the leap of production."
