"Today, the mining sector is considered a new field for developing cooperation between Tehran and Muscat, and is considered to promote exchanges between the two countries," said the deputy chairman of the Technical and Engineering Services and Investment Commission of the Iran-Oman Joint Chamber.

According to Iran's International Stone Exhibition, Kazem Moradi at the Oman Mining Opportunities Summit at the Iranian Mine House added: "Oman is different from some other countries in the region in terms of rich mineral reserves, and this is in a way called its fifth place in income." Mine is known.

He noted: Survey among the Gulf states shows that Oman is the leading supplier of from and, according to plans, Oman is expected to be the world's largest exporter of plaster this year.

Moradi added: Studies show that Oman has rich calcareous reserves and exploration of metallic mines also reveals copper, gold, silver and so on.

He recalled the presence of four hundred and fifty active mines in the country: "Chromite has an 11 percent share, marble seven percent and the rest of the sector has a share, which shows the high share of chromite."

According to Moradi, Oman's geological features and mining activities are largely similar to the conditions in Sistan and Baluchistan province, and the country's mineral activists can operate in a joint venture with the country.

The statistics show that the volume of trade between Iran and Oman last year reached more than one billion and sixty million dollars, of which more than 60% of the share of Iran and the rest belong to Oman.

The vice-chairman of the commission noted that the joint cooperation between Iran and Oman is a good opportunity to reach other regional and trans-regional markets, and the region's population of over 400 million is an important indicator.

According to the report, the Islamic Republic of Iran has about 5,500 active mines, of which an average of 400 million tonnes of minerals are mined annually and the share of building materials is 60 to 60%.

Iran is ranked tenth in the world with sixty-eight types of minerals in terms of diversity, and is ranked 15th in the world in exploring and identifying about 60 billion tonnes of mineral reserves, of which about forty billion are definite and the rest probable.
