Five prone mineral ranges in Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari
The deputy director of the Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiari Organization of Mines, Trade and Commerce announced the existence and identification of five mineral deposits in the province.
According to Iran's International Stone Exhibition, Mehrdad Ghasemi announced the identification of five potential areas for metal mining in the province, saying: "Three gold and silver mines, one lead mine and one manganese mine are being studied. It becomes operational.
The deputy director of the Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiari Organization of Mines, Trade and Commerce, referring to the discovery and extraction of eighty-fifty-nine million tonnes of minerals for construction purposes in the province, said: "Identification of mines in the province's potential areas is on the agenda."
He noted: This year, 26.6 billion riyals of government salaries have been taken from mines.
Qasemi continued, referring to the issuance of one hundred and ninety one mining licenses in the province, stating: Of these ninety mines are active in the province, which has provided employment for 1,600 people.
Carcass, rock, silica, gypsum, refractory soil, decorative stones, and cement raw materials are extracted from the province's mines, according to the report.
On average, about five million tonnes of minerals are extracted annually from the active mines in the province. Chaharmahal va Bakhtiari has ten counties and some of them have mining capacity.
