Cooperation of Iran Export Guarantee Fund and Commercial Insurance for Export Development
The director of the Export Guarantee Fund described the new strategy as a support for the establishment of insurance consortia to manage major export risks.
Afrooz Bahrami, director of the Export Guarantee Fund, pointed out the need for the fund to use the insurance industry's capacity to export exports, citing the new strategy of this support body to form large consortiums for managing large export risks.
Noting that the insurance industry in the past was less interested in getting into the credit risk coverage area, he said the fund was ready to provide new insurance tools to facilitate the country's export security with the help of commercial insurers.
He called domestic credit insurance a missing link in the insurance industry and said: "To this end, the experience and expertise of credit insurance will be provided to commercial insurance companies.
