Director General of Mining Supervision Department of Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade: In the meantime we need to emphasize the growth of mining processing units and avoiding crude sales in order to see more employment growth in the country and also to be effective in the economic growth of the country.

According to Iran's International Stone Exhibition, given the oil situation in the country so far, it has been one of the strengths and weaknesses for development.

Meanwhile, countries that want to pressure Iran by intervening in the sale of oil impose restrictions and affect the country's economy. So although oil has its own place in the economy and is a mineral raw material and therefore no different from other mines, it is more vulnerable to minerals with the intervention of some countries, including the United States.

The country's mines, however, have no oil restrictions and, in other words, are better off in the face of sanctions. Foreign countries are less likely to restrict us in the field of minerals because minerals can be internally processed, add value, and sell at a higher level than a raw material. In the oil sector, of course, the value added needs to be avoided, but ultimately the bulk of the finished product, which is made up of crude oil, must be exported overseas. As a result, the oil sector will inevitably be more affected by the sanctions, but minerals are less likely to suffer the effects of the sanctions because of their diversity and use in various industries and can survive better than oil.

In the meantime, we need to emphasize the growth of mining and crude processing units to see more employment growth in the country, as well as to influence the country's economic growth. Of course, the development of the country's mines requires sophisticated investment and technology, and we need to utilize as much machinery and knowledge as possible.
