Executive Director and Secretary of the Coordination Council for Small-Scale Mining Revitalization, Activation and Development: From the beginning of this year, ongoing meetings with specialized associations and provincial mining houses, small-scale mines will be examined by province or by type of mineral matter of the association's activity.

According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, the project of revitalization, activation and development of small scale mines in the country started in late 2016 with the aim of exploiting the capacities of small mines, increasing mineral production, national wealth creation and employment in the country, especially the less fortunate ones.

At the same time, the then Minister of Industry, Mining and Commerce appointed the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Organization for the Development of Mines and Minerals of Iran. Subsequently, Imidro carried out the project with the Iranian Mining Company. One of the major goals of the project is to broaden the networking between investors and the holders of mining licenses, which is one of the priorities of the government and the implementer of this project, utilizing the high capacity of the private sector. Meanwhile, utilizing the power and capacity of the mining and mining industry associations as a representative of the country's private mining sector is one of the pillars of the project. This will make the project sustainable and guarantee its implementation.

Therefore, from the very beginning, representatives of the Iranian Mining House and the Mining and Mining Commission of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture have been on a continuous presence in the Coordination Council of the project and have always been involved in all macro and micro decision-making.

In order to increase the role of the private sector and organizations, the provincial councils and mines were invited as provincial miners' representatives in the provincial meetings of the project so that they could meet with the relevant provincial industry, mining and trade officials and project executives. Decision-making and decision-making should play a greater role.

Since the beginning of this year, by conducting regular meetings with professional associations and the provincial mining house, small-scale mines are examined separately by province or by type of mineral matter subject to association activity. These organizations may submit their proposals, including information on the mines intended for revitalization and activation, to the Secretariat of the Project.
