A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Imidro and the Ministry of Labor on promoting the safety of labor in the country's mines and industries.

According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, a Memorandum of Understanding on Promoting Labor Safety in Mines and Mining Industries was signed this afternoon between Imadro Executive Director Khadad Gharibpour and Deputy Minister of Labor Relations Hatam Shakarmi.

According to the Memorandum, optimal use of existing capacities and joint action to develop a culture of safety at work in the mines and mining industries will be achieved through cross-sectoral partnerships to maintain the occupational health of valuable human capital and reduce the costs of work-related accidents.

This Memorandum of Understanding sets out paragraphs 5 as obligations of the parties. Equipping testing of personal protective equipment as well as safety performance of equipment for mines and mining industries, equipping laboratories in the Ministry of Labor, providing safety training in this area are Imidro's obligations under this Memorandum.

Approval of personal protective equipment, as well as the operation of these equipment and machinery in the country's mines and mining industries, licensing of occupational safety training courses, as well as co-operation with the training of occupational safety instructors introduced by Imidro will be part of the Ministry of Cooperative, Labor and Social Welfare obligations.
