Providing ten thousand hectares of land for national housing
The deputy director of housing and construction announced the provision of 10,000 hectares of land for the implementation of the National Housing Plans projects, saying that the second phase of registration of the project would be completed by the end of the year.
Mahmoud Mahmoudzadeh, referring to the registration of about two hundred and forty thousand applicants in the National Housing Plan, stated that while twenty thousand registrations were carried out in worn-out areas, the total number of registrations in the first phase of the National Housing Plan was about two hundred and twenty. It was sixty thousand.
Commenting on the amount of land provided for the project, he added: "One hundred percent of the land required for the two hundred and forty thousand registrations has been provided."
He added: "In total, ten thousand hectares of land is needed for this number of residential units.
The Vice President of Housing and Construction emphasized: "The land would have been provided with two hundred and forty thousand units of the National Housing Plan, if it had not been for the registration of four hundred thousand units."
Mahmoudzadeh announced the formation of a committee called "Land Supply" and said: "The committee seeks to secure land with the participation of trustees in cities where demand is high and we do not have land." This land acquisition will be either by changing land use, or incorporating a range or purchase, and we will strive to complete the second phase of land registration before the end of the year.
