Lawsuit for two ore dealers
The Prosecutor General of Esfarayen announced the dealings with major and unauthorized speculators of Alblagh ore in the city and said that two of them had filed a lawsuit.
Mohsen Karimi said on Wednesday that a warrant had been issued for one of the main dealers of the Albalagh mine, which was also arrested and jailed last year.
He added: Another major speculator of the mine, who was arrested while carrying the ore, is now free after filing a five-billion dollar bail.
Karimi said that many people are named as major and active agents in Albalagh Esfarine Mine: "Judicial action cannot be pursued on the basis of naming individuals alone and without providing a well-documented report."
He added: "If there is a well-reasoned and documented report to the prosecution, prosecution will be pursued against these individuals."
Prior to this, the Esfarain Public Prosecutor and Revolutionary Prosecutor entered the mine case on December 13 with increasing numbers of Albalagh mines and filed suit against environmental and industry managers, mines and commerce of North Khorasan and Isfahan for failing to enforce the Board's approval of the mine. He had pleaded guilty.
Karimi had said about the measures taken for the unauthorized ore miners from Albalagh mine: There were 400 cases of violations in this area in the past year.
He emphasized the need to increase the penalties for the offenders: "The amount of penalties the legislator has imposed on criminals in this sector has not been very deterrent."
More than two hundred tonnes of unauthorized ore have been seized from Albalagh mine, according to Esfarain County officials.
The existence of major ore dealers is part of the reason for the continued unauthorized withdrawal of the mine, which has so far caused seven disasters at the mine and left six local workers dead.
Alboragh lead and zinc mine in Esfarain is located in the hard reaches of Albalagh and in the area of Sarigol National Park in the northeast of the city.
Unauthorized mining of the mine, located in an area of the same name, was followed by a surge in profits from the beginning of this year, with the North Khorasan Provincial Council's entry in late May clearing the area, but now In the past few months, illegal mining has increased again with the presence of some locals and non-residents.
The use of non-standard methods and non-compliance with the safeguards of unauthorized extraction of lead and zinc from the mine have so far resulted in seven accidents and the deaths of six people and several injuries in the area.
Located within the Sarigol Environmental Conservation Area, the North Khorasan Industrial, Mining and Trade Organization has failed to register so far, but about a month ago the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Commerce licensed Imidro to conduct studies. And early exploration has mineralized the area.
