Iran and Vietnam trade volume doubled in one year
Chairman of the Iran-Vietnam Joint Chamber: Vietnam is a working country and a pilot country for reputable companies in the world, meaning that any country that disagrees with China does its production in Vietnam, and this is the best opportunity for importing modern day technology to Iran.
Seyed Mostafa Mousavi said about the formation of Iran-Vietnam Joint Chamber of Commerce, almost two months ago, we started the registration of the whole chamber and we started our activity. During this time, we tried to gather our database as most Iranian and Vietnamese merchants were sporadic. Vietnam has a robust economy, with steady economic growth of between six and eight percent over the past ten years, as well as a member of the WTO and ASEAN, which illustrate the importance of this country and its growing trend.
He continued: Most of our exports to Vietnam, aquatic, base engine oil, bitumen, petrochemical raw materials, petroleum derivatives, minerals, zinc and copper are in contrast to our imports of more mobile and accessories, motherboards, coconut powder and Cinnamon, coffee, bag and shoes. According to official statistics, the volume of transactions between the two countries last year was $ 325 million, which is not acceptable to the common room, and is estimated to be around $ 700 million because of the further boycott of our transactions through third countries.
The head of the Iran-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce stated: "The sanctions have caused us to use the capacity and documentation of companies based in Turkey and Oman in the process of exporting goods, except food, and to import Vietnamese goods through the UAE. This has not been included in the official statistics of the two countries.
Mousavi went on to say that the volume of trade between the two countries rose from one hundred seventy-two million dollars to one hundred and fifty-two million dollars, adding: This double-fold jump suggests that the Trade Development Organization should pay special attention to this issue. On December 15, the first joint Iran-Vietnam Task Force will be held at the Trade Development Organization and a deal will be signed between the representative of the country and the Trade Development Organization and we hope the organization will pay special attention to the private sector.
Mousavi pointed out: With the conditions that this country has to use, Vietnam is a workforce and a pilot country for reputable companies in the world, meaning every country with China is doing its best in Vietnam, and this is the best opportunity for modern technology imports. The world is Iran.
He added: "Of course, Vietnam is also interested in expanding trade with Iran, but the problems with Swift and the bank have made it more likely to use the oversupply system." Many of our exporters and importers are having difficulty in their transfers, and if the Iranian Embassy or the Joint Chamber offers to transfer money between the parties, the Central Bank's interactions with exporters can also be resolved.
The head of the Vietnam-Iran Chamber of Commerce, referring to the quality of Vietnamese goods, said: "Most of its products are top-class, luxurious and even better and better quality than Chinese goods." As it currently represents 21% of its exports to the United States and 16% to the European Union and Germany in particular, which reflects the high quality and reasonable price of its products, even in our country such as Vietnam's better mobile phone accessories. It has first-class Chinese buyers.
Mousavi noted: "Of course, the issue of sanctions has made us pay close attention to neighboring countries because money transfers are easier but we should not neglect to trade with other countries.
