According to some experts, due to the downturn in the building and housing market, demand for some minerals, including low-grade building stone and a recession in the country's stone mines, is ramping up.

According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, while stone activists believe that the recession is serious and should think of a solution, officials in the area have not considered the impact of the stagnation on the housing slump to be straightforward, believing that even though the building blocks the housing slump. They are affected, but the problems of the stone field must be followed elsewhere. They say this is due to other factors, such as immediate style sheets and disregard for neighboring markets. The miners have been discussing with rock activists for some time and have been consulting.

Avoid creativity instructions

Asked how the downturn in the housing market is affecting production and construction stone market in the country, Malek Rahmati, the vice president of the Iranian Stone Association, said: "The downturn could have an indirect impact on the stone market but is not deep enough to affect production. Construction stones have a serious effect and cause the closure of some of the country's stone mines.

Referring to the problems that exist in the building stone industry in the country, he said, what is most disturbing today is the lack of attention to the neighboring countries' markets. In these markets there is a great opportunity for the country's stone industry, as neighboring countries are eager for Iranian-made stones.

In the meantime, if we can plan properly and get support from the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Commerce, we can see some success in this area.

Rahmati, referring to non-expert laws, stated: One of the things that constantly annoys the industry is the unprofessional, hasty and creepy laws and regulations that always affect exports and pose a major challenge to the stone industry.

The Vice President of the Iranian Stone Association emphasized the need for avoidance of immediate policies: Sometimes circulars are issued that contradict the upstream laws, so it is recommended that the involved institutions and associations be required to submit the circulars after undergraduate work based on specialized theories. In the process, the more comprehensive the rules, the faster they will grow.

Rahmati on the developments that should be made in the field of building stones, said: The country's stone policy council, which was established in the previous ministry but was restless, should continue to work.

The role of the council is to bring together economic activists and policy makers to solve industry issues and find solutions to the problems. Therefore, one of the conditions for the implementation of the ore transformation program in the country is the consideration of the formation of the country's stone policy council.

He said that in order to try to make a difference in the mine, he continued: In this process of mineral evolution, the reason for the closure of more than seven hundred mines should be examined and a solution provided.

If we are to achieve a mineral transformation, we must identify the damage and provide a clear operational plan. This process needs to have certain trustees and a specific time frame for that plan.

Nowhere in the world is Iran consumed as much stone

Ramin Ghorbanzadeh, a researcher at the stone market, said that the situation in the stone market in Iran was unfavorable. The largest source of income for our artisans and producers in the stone industry comes from domestic consumers. In fact, the sweetest and most readily available source of income for our stone mills is the domestic market, which has unfortunately suffered a recession today.

The Babian stone market researcher says Iran has a high consumption of stone, saying: Although it is a luxury item in other countries and is used by wealthy families, it is not considered a luxury item in Iran. So it can be said that nowhere in the world does Iran consume as much stone. This market is the best source of income in the country because it is convenient.

Qorbanzadeh also pointed to the stagnation of the overseas stone market. Another issue is that there has been a recession in the region and the Middle East. In the world too, the builder has lost its speed as it should. China's construction growth, for example, has declined sharply for two years. Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and even Russia have reduced their construction projects and this has affected the demand for stone in these countries.

The stone market researcher said at the end: "Thus, the country's stone industry has become weak and weak both because of the stagnation of the domestic market and the slowdown in export markets.
