Some banks have long been blocking some of the facilities offered to customers, and the central bank has been silent and is not taking serious action.

According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, many people receive facilities for various purposes in inflationary conditions, although banks usually have high rigidity and difficult conditions to pay for these facilities.

Banks have been facing a dilemma for many years as they go through the lengthy process of receiving loans from the bank, but the central bank has never taken the issue seriously.

Anyone who has gone to a bank branch for convenience has heard it very likely that the banks will block the amount in the person's account after paying the facility, which is usually the bank's request that the customer borrow it in advance. Deposit your account.

Upon payment of the loan by the borrower, the bank will block the amount in the individual's account and, within a few days, deposit the entire loan amount, but the money deposited by the client will remain with the bank until the payment of the installment ends. .

Banks, however, take into account the principal amount of the loan to calculate the interest on the facility and, in fact, the bank is taking the money that has been paid to the customer.

In this regard, Hojjatoleslam and Muslim Gholamreza Mesbahi Moghaddam, a member of the Central Bank's Jurisprudence Council, stated that this is contrary to the regulations of the Central Bank. We give you a hundred million toman facility, but they actually give the client eighty million, while all the calculations are based on a hundred million toman.

He added: "The profits that are calculated are double the profits of money and against the law, and this is a form of fraud against bank customers that must be prevented."

Mesbahi Moghadam emphasized that it is the central bank's responsibility to carry out this monitoring and that it is possible.

The interesting thing is that this act of banks is not related to the present time, but it has been for years that banks have been doing this, which is clearly in violation of the regulations of the central bank, and the central bank has practically been silent about it.

Interestingly, some bank branch executives have responded to customer complaints that the central bank has asked banks to block the figure.

Given that the central bank has not taken any serious action against the banks during these years, it does not appear to be against the banks' regulations, as it would otherwise be similar to the one on overpayment. Twenty percent of the customers did so as well.

According to the report, the head of the central bank last year seriously threatened banks not to pay their depositors more than 20 percent interest.
