Hormozgan Governor: Fourteen new exploration areas have been identified in Haji Abad and Bashargar.

According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, Fereydoun Hemmati said on Sunday evening at the meeting of the Mines Council of the province: Studies on the mineral zone in the area of ​​Kusha Ahmadi Haji Abad and Bashashgar have been carried out by the Iranian Minerals Development and Renovation Organization (Imidro).

According to him, there are eleven areas in Kosha Ahmadi area of ​​Haji Abad city and three areas for exploration of mines in Bashaagr city.

He continued: In the next phase, necessary measures will be taken for exploration of minerals in these fourteen areas to determine the exact volume and quantity of minerals and mines in these areas.

Hormozgan Governor added: Mining studies are also carried out in the eleven kilometers from Bandar Abbas to Basharagar to identify new mineral zones and areas in the province.

According to Hemati, the move to explore the mineral zones in Ormozgan should be taken quickly so that new mines can be activated as soon as possible to create employment and increase production.

The Governor of Hormozgan also referred to the status of a number of inactive mines in the province and said: The meeting was intended to be auctioned off to new applicants to be activated quickly.

According to information released by the Hormozgan Industry, Mine and Trade Organization, there are one hundred and twelve exploration licenses, twenty-five exploration licenses, and two hundred and twenty-six mines with operating licenses in the province with a total of more than one and a half reserves. There are billions of tons.

Hormozgan can be explored for twenty types of minerals and its basic mines include gypsum, iron ore, salt rock, chromite and red soil that has created jobs for more than 3,000 people. According to available statistics, more than 100 inactive mines have also been identified in Hormozgan.
