Deputy Director of Mines and Minerals Affairs of West Azerbaijan Industry, Mines and Trade Organization: With the aim of preventing the mineral sale of this province, iron ore concentrate and refractory soil processing unit will be set up in the province with an investment of one hundred and eighty billion rials.

According to the Iranian Stone Exhibition, Parisa Abedpour said: "One hundred and thirty billion riyals of this amount have been earmarked for the construction of the iron ore concentrate unit, and with the commissioning of this unit, one hundred people will be employed.

He continued: Raw materials of iron ore concentrate processing unit are supplied from five iron ore mines in the province.

He said: With the creation of this processing unit, direct employment will be created in the region and the added value of minerals in the region will increase.

He noted that there are good capacities in the field of refractory soil processing in West Azerbaijan, he said, 50 billion riyals of capital have been set up for launching this unit.

Deputy of Mines and Minerals Affairs of West Azerbaijan Industry, Mine and Trade Organization said: Construction of a processing unit in this part of the province was one of the requirements of the province.

Abedpour said: "With the launch of this unit, there will be employment opportunities for thirty young people in the province.

He stated: "With the aim of preventing crude ornamental stone sale in the province, we are pursuing the creation of large scale stone quarrying unit in the province with the cooperation and cooperation of Iran Mining Company."

Referring to the implementation of mineral processing projects in recent years in West Azerbaijan, he said: There are currently three processing units operating in the north and south of the province, including Piranshahr, Travertine Takab and Poldasht Marble.

According to the report, the mining and downstream industries are the focus of West Azerbaijan's development, but the province's stone mines face numerous problems such as crude sales and a lack of markets.

Providing low-interest bank facilities for working capital as well as modernizing mining machinery are essential to improve the province's mining performance.

West Azerbaijan is in a good position in the field of mineral resources, but it still has a long way to go before it can exploit the capacity of the mining and mining industries optimally.

The West Azerbaijan area is covered by three zones of the country's twenty systematic exploration zones, including 'Ashnoyeh-Khoy', 'Marivan-Mahabad' and Shahin-fortress-Mahnashan.
