Exploitation of Maragheh Red Granite Mine next year
Deputy Governor and Special Governor of Maragheh announced the completion of the exploration of the Red Granite Mine in the area of Juki Bijan village by the end of July next year by the private sector and said that the operation will start in September next year.
According to the Iranian Stone Exhibition, Hamid Shokri stated during the visit to the mine: Two mining areas in the village, each with a surface area of two kilometers, were recorded in the first year and a study plan was started in the same year and an exploration license was issued earlier in the year. Is.
He added: "The mine operation started earlier this year and has been licensed for five acres in one area and eighteen acres in another area."
He said: Similar granite found in this mine is found only in Yazd province, which is not available in the market for 15 years due to the available reserves.
Shukri added: It is expected that over five million tonnes of red granite will be mined in the mine, which will create direct employment after the exploitation of more than 50 people.
"Ten people are currently exploring the mine," he said.
He added: So far, over one billion tomans has been spent on exploration and study of the mine, and it is expected to complete the exploration of more than one billion tomans of additional credit.
He added: The granite obtained from this mine for domestic consumption and export to abroad due to its high quality can be an important step in the development of mines in the city.
Twenty-seven of the forty-four mines in the city are currently extracting and producing, according to the report.
Maragheh city, with a population of about two hundred and sixty-three thousand people is located in the center of East Azarbaijan.
