High bank profits are a big problem for manufacturers
Alaw Machine Company CEO: Undoubtedly, the most important problem manufacturers have repeatedly stated is high bank profits. We expect banks to provide producers with four percent and long-term benefits.
Mohammad Sheikh Mohammadi, CEO of Alav Machinery Company, in an exclusive interview with Iran Stone Exhibition stated: It has been started for forty-two years by my father Seifullah Sheikh Mohammadi. We used to produce sabs, peaks and tiles before, but we've been producing saws for about nine years.
He added: "Most of our sales have been to Nimar, Mahallat, Dehbid and Tehran." The device is priced at one billion and four hundred million tomans, which is roughly one-third as foreign. The machines we produce are nothing less than foreign machines and the quality of these machines equals to foreign machines.
"Our most important problem is the shortage of raw materials and how expensive it is," he said. We have to import these raw materials from overseas, which we have a lot of problems with because of the sanctions.
He continued: Parts of these machines are also produced in Iran, but the production time of these parts is very high. Sometimes we have to wait a month to produce a piece. We can only make one machine a year due to the long manufacturing time of the parts, while the company is capable of producing twelve machines a year.
He underscored: Undoubtedly, the main problem producers have repeatedly said is high bank profits. We expect banks to provide producers with four percent and long-term benefits.
