The revival of the country's stone headquarters is essential / some policies need to be reformed
Head of Iran Chamber of Commerce Mines Commission: The country's stone headquarters should be revived to address the problems in this area and some of the stone industry's policies should be reformed.
According to Iran Stone Exhibition, Bahram Shakouri said Tuesday at the inaugural ceremony of the 12th International Iranian Stone Exhibition in Neymur Mahal: The world's stone production is one hundred and forty million tons annually and seventy percent of it is produced in countries such as China, India, Iran and Brazil are in the process.
He added: In the year to date, more than twenty-seven billion dollars were the share of stone trade in the world, with China accounting for 35.5%, Italy 13.5%, Turkey 12.1%, India 10.8%, Brazil Seven. Percentage and unfortunately Iran was one and one percent.
Chairman of the Commission of Mines and Industries of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture stated: Given the high potential of the country and the capacity of three and four billion tonnes of stone we can have at least 20% share which will result in trade, employment and exchange. Let's see the good.
The head of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Chamber of Commerce and Mining said: "Now the amount of stone waste extracted from mines has decreased compared to the past and this capacity should be used properly.
Shakuri said: Today, production of waste minus waste is considered, so we should use these reserves to bring the waste to zero. In this regard, many companies use stone waste in the sculpture and production of some products and there is added value for them.
He said: Of the 15 million tons of stone produced in Iran annually, more than 90 percent of it is processed in the country, and about 10 percent is exported as stone or processed stone, meaning that a small share is related to stone.
"India is the second largest ornamental stone producer in the world, exporting thirty percent of its ore and 30 percent of processed stone, and Italy has good stone reserves," said the chairman of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture. Twenty-two hundred of their stones are exported in the form of stone and sixty percent processed.
"We need to reform government policies, labor law and more in this area," Shakouri said. If the research is done then we can export 80% of the processed stone like Turkey.
"If we can sell the stone and prepare the export and even investment for other sectors in this industry, we are successful, but if we just process the stone in the most recent way and stop exporting the stone, There is nothing left for the future.
The head of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Chamber of Commerce and Industries said: "We now have to revive the dying stone headquarters of the country, and the government should consult with the private sector and engage with them and get their opinions. To see the development of the stone industry and the exchange for the country.
