Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade: There are 10,000 mines in the country, of which 6,500 are active.

According to Iran's International Stone Exhibition, Alireza Shahidi, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade, said: "In the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Commerce to restore inactive small mining units, a task force has been set up which is also a member of the Geological Survey. Turn the switch back to the production cycle.

The head of the Iranian Geological and Mineral Exploration Organization stated that the geological reserves of Iran's mines are now fifty-five and their definitive reserves are thirty to thirty-five billion tons.

He continued: "Three hundred and forty-three to fifty million tonnes of minerals are extracted annually in the country, which continues to decline after twenty to thirty years of mineral storage in the country, and we have to explore alternatives to what is being consumed."

The head of Iran's Geological and Mineral Exploration Organization noted: The country is ranked 15th in the world in terms of mineral capacities, and this position is based on the most recent explorations.

Shahidi added: "In recent years, there has been an exploration of hidden geophysics over the past few years to identify the country's hidden mineral resources."

He said: "In the mining sector, every job opportunity directly creates jobs for five people and indirectly for more than twenty people. This reflects the importance of mining in sustainable development, wealth generation and employment creation."

He added: "With this situation the situation should not be such that the province's budget is spent in the prosperous sector and ignores the mines that were naturally created in the poorest areas."

Shahidi said the Geological Survey has two main tasks in the country, one is to generate wealth through mineral exploration and these minerals will be provided to the private sector for use in the economic field.

He noted: Minerals comprise about one percent and the mining industry accounts for up to six percent of the country's GDP, accounting for forty to forty-five percent of GDP when it comes to industry.

Shahidi added: "Now that the economic war is over, much of the country's exports of minerals come from good foreign exchange earnings."

He said: Protecting productive wealth is also an important mission of the Geological Survey because of the 34 incidents recorded in the world, thirty-four of them are identified and monitored in Iran.

The head of the Geological Survey of Iran said: "The purpose of this section is to accurately minimize the risk of post-hazard risks."

Martyr noted: This year floods cost the country 355 billion tomans, which would have been lower if it had been based on the information produced.

He said: "If a project needs overseas capability in geology and exploration, this organization is ready for any cooperation.

The head of the Geological Survey of Iran said: "The organization will soon be moving to the country with the launch of an international project of new knowledge of geological maps.

"With the opening of the project we will have access to six prestigious colleges in France under sanctions," he said.
