North Khorasan marble rocks are a hidden gem in the lithospheric mines of this area that they also face various problems that are either mined or left inactive.

Loss of North Khorasan marble customers by adopting 20% duty rate

Abolfazl Shahsavar, who owns a marble mine in Bojnourd County, pointing out that most of the marble produced in the province is exported abroad, said countries such as Italy, China and ... were the main customers of these stones.

"But now, with more than 20 percent of the export of mineral raw materials being exported, including marble, it has lost other customers and sales of these stones have fallen sharply, and we are looking to outsource our mines," he said. .

Shahsavar continued: On the other hand, marble is such a way that it is not welcomed in the country because of the price gap between marble and marble stones used in building and doing things like building stone. Be about twenty times more.

He said domestic marble is not very welcomed for the use of marble stones, which is why foreign customers should be sought, but the 20 per cent toll that has made marble miners so difficult.

The North Khorasan miner also pointed to the rise in currency over the past few years and said that reaching the current price of thirteen thousand tomans has now made it very difficult for these producers.

Asked if marble would be processed and then processed out of the country would it make it easier for miners? Explained: Unfortunately the processing of marble in Iran is poor and on the other hand foreign customers do not accept Iranian processing because it is poor.

Five times the depreciation costs in marble mines

Shahsavar further mentioned other problems of marble mines in this province and stated: Production costs in these mines are very high and it is no longer profitable to work in mines.

He added: Mining costs have increased fivefold, while marble prices have risen, but they have been negligible.

There was insufficient financial resources to upgrade the equipment and fleet in the mines

Not all of this equipment and fleet.

"The price of any loader or excavator has now reached two to three billion or more," he said. "These are high numbers."

Hedmany emphasized: Miners need cheap facilities to develop their work, but such facilities do not exist and, if any, are of high interest.

He further noted that banks also do not accept any collateral for granting facilities to miners, for example mining licenses are not accepted as collateral by banks, and they may issue civil licenses because of their expertise. It is easier to accept.

Five passive marble mines in North Khorasan

Mehdi Zadeh, an expert on mines monitoring at the North Khorasan Samat Organization, explained: "Fifteen licenses have been issued for North Khorasan marble mines with a reserve of one million six hundred eighty nine thousand tons."

Of those listed, eight are active, two are for auction and five are inactive, he said.

Mehdi Zadeh stated that mining is facing various difficulties, for example: "The license to exploit a marble mine is given to the miner and he starts work but does not get good minerals. Production of this miner may be calcite.

Marble and marble mines that do not work at their full capacity

Rezazadeh Deputy Director of Industrial and Mining Organization of North Khorasan Province Industry, Mining and Commerce stated: Marble and marble are the best decorative stones in this province but no brand has been defined yet.

On the other hand, the lack of processing units has caused these rocks to be crushed out of the province.

Referring to the fact that most of the marble mines are in Bojnourd and Marble in Shirvan, he said: "But these mines usually do not work at their full capacity.
