Creation of joint industrial settlements between Iran and Iraq
Iraqi Ambassador to Iran: Unemployment is currently the main problem of the two countries and with the activation of joint industrial settlements we can counteract this phenomenon.
Saad Javad Qandil, the Iranian ambassador to Iran at the Iran-Iraq Trade Forum, said: "After the historic meeting of the Iranian president with the Iraqi prime minister, this conference will be held and we hope with some thoughtful arrangements. It has become more expansive than visa free travel for pilgrims and businessmen.
"We are looking to create industrial settlements in different places," he said. We also want Iranian companies to help us rebuild and rebuild Iraq after ISIS. Unemployment is currently the main problem in the two countries, and with the activation of joint industrial settlements we can counteract this phenomenon.
The Iraqi ambassador to Iran noted: Iraq's policy is to support domestic production, and thus advocates domestic production through tariffs and restrictions. On the other hand, we seek to dramatically reduce and even subsidize tariffs on raw materials. Iranian economic activists have this in mind, and we are therefore proposing to move to joint ventures.
