Export is not a choice, it is compulsory
Iran-Iraq Joint Secretary-General: In the current situation, exports are not an option and must be compulsory and in addition to oil exports, non-oil exports should be increased.
According to Iran's International Stone Exhibition, Seyyed Hamid Hosseini told a meeting of the Non-Oil Export Promotion Working Group in Arak: "There is currently no market like Iraq for Iran, and given Iraq's $ 8.3 billion in non-oil exports This should be increased.
He pointed out: "In the current situation, exports are not a choice and must be compulsory and in addition to oil exports, non-oil exports should be increased."
Iran, Iraq's co-secretary general, said Iraq was part of Iran for eleven centuries, saying that Iraq lacked the structure and security of Europeans to use its advantage to boost exports.
Hosseini pointed to the duties of the chamber in order to increase exports, saying that supporting the members of the chamber, empowering the members and proper planning can be effective strategies in this regard.
He noted that setting up an export management company in the province could increase the scope for export expansion.
The head of the provincial industry, mining and trade organization said the country's non-oil exports amounted to thirty-three billion dollars this year, equivalent to 21 percent of Iraq's $ 7 billion.
Mohammad Reza Hajipour added: The province's exports this year amounted to $ 775 million, of which $ 188 million was equivalent to 26 percent.
He pointed out: Due to the high capacity and potential of the province, the amount of exports can be increased and effective steps are taken to improve the economic prosperity of the province.
