Travertine stone became a city of global record locations
The Director General of the Industrial Property Office of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Commerce announced the global registration of the Persian Gulf and Travertine County of Mahalat.
The Persian Gulf was registered with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) at a press conference today, referring to the Persian Gulf World Registration in Waipo, according to Iran's International Stone Exhibition. From now on, no government, state, or organization can name this gulf by any other name. Mir Salehi stated that this was done by the Ministry of Industry, adding: "It has been a two-year registration process."
He said that only the Persian Gulf has been mentioned in the past, adding that the name of this Gulf is not in accordance with international law, according to the Persian Gulf Pearl registration document.
According to him, the Persian Gulf registration is a kind of registration of protection of origin and geographical indication, so this area is registered with the region.
Mir Salehi, referring to the process of global registration of "Pearl of the Persian Gulf", stated: The process of registration began two years ago with the adjustment of the expert report and the corresponding declaration.
He added: The case file was drawn up in accordance with the Lisbon Agreement on Protection of Origin and World Registration Approved by the Parliament, as well as the Law of the Government of Iran on the Convention Establishing the World Intellectual Property Organization (2001).
The Director General of the Industrial Property Office of the Ministry of Industry mentioned six other products in the Office's activities and mentioned: Stone Travertine Mahalat, Fars province fig, Saffron Qaenat, Gaz Isfahan, Gaz Baldaji and Malayer raisin are other Iranian products in the organization. He ranked Iran fourth in the world record, noting that France, Spain and the Czech Republic rank first to third, respectively.
According to the official, since 2001 about 60 Iranian products have been registered worldwide.
He pointed out the priority of registering this office as exporting products: According to this step, the raw materials were first registered in the world and in the next step we will proceed to the global registration of technological products.
