Hussein Yari: There is no supervision over the activity of brokers
Active in the stone industry: Global markets will not trust us and they will not buy our product until there is a steady rise in prices.
According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, activists of the mining and stone industry have identified the biggest problem for stone activists as a gradual rise in prices. It is almost impossible because foreign customers make long-term contracts with factory owners at a fixed price, which is almost impossible to change.
Hossein Yari added that in Turkey and many other countries that are active in the stone industry, price stability and continuity of this stability is extremely carefully implemented and this has caused the global markets to have a strong desire to buy from these countries. However, the prices of raw materials and energy in our country are constantly rising, and our factory is forced to raise the price of the finished product in the face of inflation, which is not beneficial to our exports.
He emphasized the need to pay attention to the use of modern and efficient technology to increase productivity in the stone industry. Iran's competitors in the stone industry use different methods to increase productivity and improve product quality. They are economical because they have global markets, but in Iran, because there is no serious export talk, these methods are not cost effective.
Referring to the agreement reached between Iran and the 5 + 1 countries and the hardships suffered by the nuclear negotiating team during this period, he added: “There is a very good agreement between Iran and the 5 + 1 countries which could solve many export problems. Iran will solve the problem and introduce new technologies into Iran, but before this discussion, officials must think about the unpredictable growth of prices, as long as there is unprecedented growth in prices, global markets will not trust us and our product Will not buy.
Referring to the need to implement targeted subsidies and emphasizing the need to bring energy prices closer to real prices, he said: "By targeting subsidies and approaching energy prices to real prices and raising wages, we can greatly benefit the system." Improve our productivity. Many foreign artisans who make their own stone crop from Iran ship to the port with very cheap gasoline. In fact, foreign artisans make the best use of gasoline subsidies. The more our exports increase, the higher the rate at which foreign artisans use gas subsidies.
He described the existence of a brokerage system in the stone industry as one of the great pests of the industry and said: One of the main factors driving up the price of stone is the brokers. Dealers make the most of their profits without paying taxes, and all they do is buy the stone from the mine and sell it to the factory at a higher price and raise their price every day. Unfortunately, there is no oversight of dealer activity.
