Necessity to plan for presence in global markets
Head of Iran Mining House: Further clarification on mining laws is needed as it allows for the entry of private sector into the field and we can increase production, promote export and play a role in global markets.
According to Iran's International Stone Exhibition, Mohammad Reza Bahraman said Tuesday at the opening ceremony of the 11th International Stone Exhibition in the neighborhood: "Our country has many capacities in the field of mining, but so far there is a regular planning for utilizing these capacities. Not yet.
"Despite the potential mentioned, Iran has a weak presence in the global mining sector, and this appears to be due to its dependence on oil revenues," the head of the Iranian Mining House said.
Activating the private sector in a variety of economic areas and attracting investment depends on creating a favorable and favorable environment for cooperation as well as government support for the private sector, Bahrain said.
The head of the Iranian Mines House pointed out that, on the other hand, clarification of the laws of the mining field is necessary as it will enable the private sector to enter the field and be able to increase production, promote export and play a role in global markets.
He noted: On the other hand, given the mineral capacities that exist in the country, it can provide the grounds for the boom of the mineral tourism industry and it seems that Mahallat city has the necessary capacity in this field.
"Today, we see that some countries in the region, despite not having our country's mineral capacities, have been able to make use of their existing capacities and be active in exporting the related area," said the Minister.
Bahramman added: "If we can properly exploit the country's existing capacities in the mining sector and make the private and investment sectors more active in this area, it will certainly provide a favorable platform for increased exports."
It is worth mentioning that the 11th International Stone Exhibition is located in a space of ninety thousand square meters in three hundred and fifty booths, where the latest achievements in the field of mineral and decorative stone in the fields of stone processing, stone mining, mining machinery, Parts and supplies of stone, mining and specialized machinery and other related industries are on display.
