The 11th International Rock Exhibition opened Tuesday in the presence of the secretary of the Iranian Stone Policy Council, the head of the Iranian Stone Association, the head of the Iranian Mining House and a group of officials in the central province of Nimar from the suburbs. This international exhibition is set up in a space of ninety thousand square meters, including twenty thousand square meters of indoor space and seventy thousand square meters of outdoor space.

Managing Director of Iran International Stone Exhibition said: Three hundred domestic and foreign companies are present at the 11th International Iranian Stone Exhibition in Mahallat.
"Twelve booths are dedicated to foreign companies, 40% of the booths belong to manufacturing units in the central province, and the rest are to other provinces of the country or to foreign company agencies," Behnam Nikfar added.

He noted: Eighty-five percent of the Copper Stones at the Tenth Exhibition were purchased by international merchants and many stone processing units were able to export their processed stones by direct contact with merchants.
He added: It is anticipated that 100 percent of the Kop stones at this year's fair will be purchased by international merchants and provide the necessary platforms to increase exports of processed stones.

He said: The world's first prestigious and specialized stone industry journals such as Italy's Marmomachine, Turkish Stone World, Turkish Stone Technology, Indian Stone Panorama, Stone Ryuohand and Russian Stone Business are present at the International Stone Exhibition.
The director of Iran International Stone Exhibition added: "For these publications there are dedicated facilities along with translators and guides.
An international competition of short stories, photos, cartoons and calligraphy with the theme of stone will be held at the exhibition, Nikfar added.
He said: Two hundred and twenty-eight artists from 40 countries have submitted their works for the competition and the results of the competition and the first to the 21st of September this year have been announced and the awards will be announced on the closing day of the exhibition. International Stone of Iran will be donated.
