According to Iran's International Stone Exhibition, Behnam Nikfar said about the 11th International Stone Exhibition in Iran: Advertising started about a year ago and the exhibition authorities attended various international exhibitions such as Bursa and Izmir, Turkey. He added: About eleven companies are present in the 11th exhibition and 40% of the booths in the exhibition belong to the production units of the central province, and the remaining 60% belong to other provinces or agencies of foreign companies.
Managing Director of Iran International Stone Exhibition stated: Due to the sanctions and problems caused by the price of dollars the presence of foreign companies in Eleventh Exhibition is weaker than in previous years, but the presence of Copper ores has been much bolder than in previous years. This year it will have the largest rock showcase in the country.
He said: Last year, about eighty-five percent of the Copper stones in the exhibition were purchased by international merchants and many of the factories involved in stone processing were able to establish the necessary communications with these merchants and stones. Export this year; we expect this year to buy 100 percent of the Copper stones in the exhibition by international merchants and provide the necessary platforms to increase the export of processed stones.
Noting that the approach of this year's exhibition is to increase and grow the export of stone, he said, 50 international businessmen were invited to attend the exhibition, adding: "All traders and merchants who attend the fair will buy stone at the exhibition." They will come and most likely all the gems in the exhibition will be purchased by these merchants.
He continued: A special program for displaying and selling the processed stones to foreign buyers has been provided so that production units can establish necessary contacts with foreign traders and after the exhibition will continue their business activities with them.
Director of Iran International Stone Exhibition said: According to plans, the opening ceremony will be held on Tuesday, October 17th, the president of the Iranian Stone Association, the head of the Iranian Mining House and a senior official from the Ministry of Mining and Trade. And Industry Minister Mohammad Shariatmadari and his deputies have also been invited to the opening ceremony of the exhibition and are likely to attend the opening ceremony.
Nikfar noted: Given the price of the dollar and the excellent conditions that have been created internationally for Iran, very effective measures can be taken to increase exports, and this exhibition is the best place for conducting international trade negotiations and demonstrating capabilities. The production units participating in the exhibition have the opportunity to take measures to increase exports.
He pointed out that Iran's International Stone Exhibition was made with private sector capital, and said that all the revenues of the exhibition will be spent for the development of the exhibition, the view of the exhibition officials is to speed up the exhibition's construction projects and shortages. Exhibit as soon as possible, building hotels, mosques, congress halls, new exhibition halls and maximizing green space are among the building's plans.
