Many mines are shut down by this procedure
Head of Iran Mining House: One of the major problems in the mining sector is the problems it has with the environment. We are not harmful to the environment. Mine and the environment are not in conflict with each other and they can work together easily, as has happened in many important mining cities around the world, and the environment is well preserved and the miner works well.
According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, this morning a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce of Kashan was held with the presence of Mohammad Reza Bahraman and a group of miners and craftsmen of Kashan.
Mohammad Reza Bahrami, head of Iran's mining house, said: "Kashan artisans have always been one of the most advanced craftsmen in the country. I remember the day we were going to start the mechanization of mining, three of the craftsmen and officials, all three of whom were from Kashan, came in full force and helped to do that. But at the same time there was a lot of resistance to do so and many were banning us from doing so.
He added: Iranian Stone Society was one of the first associations we formed and Mr. Marandi was a member of the board of directors. Since its inception, the association has supported indoor exhibitions and encouraged artisans to participate in foreign exhibitions. Thanks to these efforts, exhibitions related to the stone industry of the country are very well organized today.
We are not harmful to the environment
"Unemployment is one of the most important issues in the country today," he continued. We must make every effort to create work and entrepreneurship. We are entrepreneurs and we should not retreat in this area; if we do retreat, we must have given our children the first razor.
"One of the major problems in the mining sector is the problems it has with the environment," he said. We are not harmful to the environment. Mine and the environment are not in conflict with each other and can work together as well as in many of the world's important mining cities and the environment is well preserved and the miner works well.
He said: "We recently visited some of the world's most important mining towns, together with some environmental and natural resources officials, where they saw how mining and the environment work together." These are the investments that need to be made. The more we train with the authorities and become more familiar with the mining process around the world, the better our results will be.
Many lead and zinc mines are closed
He added: "Everyone who works in the Iranian Chamber of Commerce or the Iranian Mine House is a registered member and this is a very important issue. We can easily criticize the authorities because of their credentials; if the environment stops a mine, we can protest, and if we make a wrong decision we can make our own comments and make that wrong decision.
"If we can't import the tractor tires for the next four months, most of the lead and zinc mines will be closed," said Bahraman about the shortage of machinery and supplies. There is a real problem in the discussion of mining machinery right now; we give this information to the authorities and ask them to investigate. There are also severe problems with the construction stone mines and many of our factories will shut down if things go the same way.
We do not import
He said: the work of importing machinery and consumables of factories should be done by the dealers, the representative of that company should go to Iran and store the product so that we, as consumers, can go and buy from them. Going into it himself is a hundred percent wrong and our costs are very high for the miners. We do not import.
He continued: Export is the most important economic priority of the mining and stone industry. When it came to the issue of mining export duties, there was no building stone in the list, but when Mr. Jahangiri announced the list, unfortunately, stone was also among those items and export duties were to be had. We have asked the Home Office to delay these payments for at least three years in these circumstances.
Manufacturers and craftsmen need to be vigilant
The head of the Iranian Mines House noted: In some cases, some economists, who are mostly university professors, make decisions or present theories that are completely at odds with what is going on in production units. It is up to the artisans to critically criticize these theories.
He added: Manufacturers and craftsmen must be vigilant and avoid making the wrong decisions of some statesmen because we are the ones to make the wrong decisions. If we do not know and criticize the wrong decisions, our industry will have irreparable blows.
Imports of stone crop should be released
One of the very wrong decisions taken is the ban on imports of stone carp, Bahraman continued. We will take care of this and make the necessary correspondence with the Ministry of Mining and Trade to resolve this issue. We believe that the importation of stone carp should be done.
"No one has the right to imprison a mineral area; if a place is registered in the name of a person and that person does not work in that area, it must be released and given to another person," he said. Priority is given to mines with processing plants. If this does not happen and someone is locked in a mine without working on it or the miners are not handed over to the processor then let us know to follow up.
