Abbas Arab, a member of the board of directors of Iran's Stone Exhibition, said: "Taxation is really one of our problems in manufacturing." Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini, inspector of the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, said: "About eighty percent of the city's economic activity is dependent on the stone industry. The businesses in the area are so dependent on the stone industry that when the industry is booming, many jobs in the city prosper, and when the industry is in recession almost the rest of the mayor's jobs fall.
He added: "We expect the necessary support for this industry, but in some cases we see that not only support is being provided, but also for the stone production units, there are obstacles and problems that hinder the development of the business."
