Behnam Nikfar: We have the power to compete in global markets
Nikefree Factories Group CEO: Export consortia are very necessary and essential to be able to plan the production line of the factories and to direct the production with a stated need so we can meet the large market needs.
According to Iran's International Stone Exhibition, Behnam Nikfar, director of the Iranian International Stone Exhibition, said in an exclusive interview with the Iranian Stone News Agency: "Given the leadership's emphasis on the resisting economy and the President's special attention to export growth, we are fortunate to have day export. It gets better day by day.
He added that the group of Nikfar factories has also been fully involved in export talks and we are now cooperating with Qatar, Oman and Erbil in exporting processed stones.
Iranian granite exports to Turkey and cis countries
He added: Given the security that is currently present in Iraq, the export market for stone has prospered, Iran's granite exports to Turkey and cis countries are doing well and these countries are buyers of granite. Georgia has also put in place construction and restoration of its worn textures, and its merchants are now coming to Iran to buy stone and are in talks with Iranian stone industry workers.
Sale of Chinese stone in Italy
Nikfar said: Iran's Chinese stone is attracted to Italy and its sales are getting better day by day. We hope that with the increase of Chinese stone exports to Italy, the Chinese stone mines will again flourish and return to their peak.
He said: The biggest problem is the export of money, which the authorities must take seriously and provide the necessary platforms for the money. Money transfers from some countries are currently difficult to move.
The necessity of separating the commercial sector from production in the stone industry
He continued: Another export problem is related to existing production units in Iran, which unfortunately still operate in the traditional way and want to be both producers and exporters themselves. We have to move to separate the commercial sector from the manufacturing sector and define separate responsibilities and responsibilities for the commercial sector. In developed countries this problem is completely resolved and the business part of a factory is completely separate from its manufacturing sector.
He added: Private-sector associations in the stone industry also need to come to the field with greater power and play a greater role in organizing exports and production. Cooperation between government officials and associations must reach its highest level in order to achieve the desired result. We in the private sector do not yet have a well-defined plan for the development of the stone industry! This plan should be formulated and presented to government officials.
We have the power to compete in global markets
He emphasized: Iranian stone industry in terms of price and quality can enter the competitive world markets. In the last few years, the price of stone has gone up due to the goodness of the domestic markets, but now that we are in a recession prices have fallen too low and we can easily compete in global markets. Forty-two factories are equipped with state-of-the-art processing systems and can easily produce high-quality stones at world standards.
The head of the Nikfar factories said: "Being in the global markets and exporting stone has a lot of advantages; export sales are cash and there are no problems with check-backs; , Keeps exports of production cycle stable and maintains production line and worker, all of these advantages are available for stone export, however, it is obvious that we still need to offer export stone prices slightly lower than domestic markets. .
Necessity to produce processed stones in high areas
"One of the major problems is the lack of exported processed stone in high-density stone warehouses, for example if there is a demand for one million meters of stone, no factory can supply it," he said. Because of the variety of stone in the factories, it is not even possible to obtain this stone from different factories. There was a customer in the same market who wanted about a million meters of stone and couldn't get all of it from inside stone and supplied much of the required rock from China. The existence of export consortia is very necessary for it to be able to program the production line of the factories and to direct the production with the declared need so that we can meet the great needs of the market.
