Necessity to investigate stone waste
Friday's Imamate of Mahallat: Answering the question of how and how we can use this waste generated in the stone industry should be the concern of all officials as well as the private sector.
According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, Hojatoleslam Mehdi Rabbani, the Imam of the Mahalat Friday, in an exclusive interview with the Iranian Stone News Agency stated: One of the most important things to be done in the field of stone industry is the question of proper use of waste.
"Answering the question of how and how we can use these wastes in the stone industry should be the concern of all the authorities as well as the private sector," he said.
He continued: "So far, there has been no fundamental thinking about the proper use of scrap waste in the city." Many plants do not use their wastes optimally, and in some cases they are released into the wilderness, which can cause enormous environmental problems.
The Friday Imam of Mahallat said: "There is a need for research to determine what can be done with these wastes, if the proper use of these wastes is found, productivity will also increase. We are no longer seeing these wastes being released into the environment.
Hojat al-Islam Rabbani said: In some rock mines, the amount of tailings produced is high due to lack of proper extraction. These tailings are often left unused if the right methods can be used to maximize the use of these stones and increase the financial efficiency of the stone mines.
He emphasized: "The stone is a godsend and a valuable asset and we must avoid extravagance." Our practice in the stone industry should be to minimize waste.
