The need for companies to attend foreign exhibitions
Treasurer of Yazd Stone Trade Union: To get rid of market stagnation and lack of sales, we must employ a specialized human resources in order to get things done professionally.
Mohammad Ali Amini, a member of the board of directors and treasurer of the Yazd Stone Association, said in an exclusive interview with the Iranian Stone News Agency: "Among the problems that have plagued the stone and mining sector over the past few years are the cost of insurance. VAT, human resources shortages, expensive raw materials and market downturns, and utilities are expensive.
He said: Participation in foreign exhibitions has a significant impact on improving the performance of mines and factories and stone processing. Overseas artisans are very successful in stone processing because of modern and sophisticated machines, but unfortunately in Iran because of the sanctions that existed before and the inability to buy power we are not able to buy modern machines in stone processing.
"On the other hand, participating in foreign exhibitions makes us familiar with the way they work and how they process stone," he said.
Amini said: To get rid of market stagnation and non-sales, we need to employ a specialized human resources in order to get things done professionally.
He added: VAT surplus tax is another problem that if solved and the government has the necessary support, the mining and quarrying industry will come out of recession. If the quality of processing is increased and crude is minimized, exporting to Iran is best done. In this respect, the government should provide the necessary support.
The treasurer of the Yazd Stone Trade Association said: "With regard to the use of stone waste, it should be said that the use of stone waste in Iran is not cost-effective because of the high costs it incurs and it costs a lot.
