Mining law should be transparent
Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade: The mining law should be transparent to make it clear to investors in this sector for years to come.
According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh at the meeting of the Advisory Council of Mines Affairs said: With the necessary amendments to the Mining Law of 1998, the miners can be tasked with investing and planning for at least ten years. The future made clear.
He pointed out that the mining law should be clear and added: "In drafting the mining law the principle of summary and transparency should not be overlooked."
According to Nematzadeh, the mine should be seen in its supply chain, from raw materials to the finished product to encourage added value.
The Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade further noted that in the value added chain of the mine, the processing of minerals and the creation of downstream industries should be pursued in order to create employment and increase export capacity and meet domestic demand.
He further noted: Normally the bidding of the mine should be the first priority of the bidding unit and then other bidders in accordance with the legal procedures.
Nematzadeh also pointed out that the government does not rate the state mines, but said that the amount should be set annually and that there were differences in the routine, underground, metallic and non-metallic mines.
